The Story of a Colonial Family

In 1909 Joseph Sheridan, at the age of 26, left his native Ireland to become a magistrate in Malawi, or Nyasaland as it was then known. His daughter, Therese, tells of the struggles experienced by him and his family told against the social, political and historical background of the time.
