Elusive Eric

An old box containing a few family mementos included a photograph of a handsome young man, named Eric. On its reverse he had written a message to his sister. It was dated 1935. Even though it was known that he was a close relative, no one knew anything about him. And so the quest began to discover his story…..one of separation, bravery, recklessness and then having determination in order to combat forces beyond his control.

When I approached Mercer books with my manuscript of Elusive Eric, I was greeted warmly by Tim Mercer, who listened with interest when I explained what had propelled me to write the memoir of a relative.

I had no idea of what the publishing process involved. Immediately I was impressed with Tim’s creativity in terms of layout and colour scheme.  He enhanced what were once faded documents and photographs with such finesse. Their original features could be revealed quite clearly once more. Tim’s patience and attention to detail have resulted in a beautifully presented book.

Thank you, Tim, for your invaluable experience.JH
